White River Junction - Thetford
The White River Flyer departs from Union Depot in White River Junction offering two roundtrip excursions to Pompanoosuc Mills in East Thetford after a quick stop at the Montshire Museum. The excursion will travel along the majestic Connecticut River with a panoramic view of the
White Mountain foothills and a causeway which serves as a wildlife sanctuary.
White River Junction offers specialty shops and restaurants as well. Old 494, a historic steam engine built in 1892, is displayed in Depot Park adjacent to the station.

April 24: Easter Bunny Express
Hop On Board for an Hour and a Half Excursion. The Easter Bunny Boards at the Montshire for the Ride. Join the Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Candy back at the Depot! Bring Your Easter Baskets Along! 10:30 am. Adult: $25 • Child: $20
May 13: Mother’s Day Express
A Mother’s Day to Remember when the famed outlaws Bonnie & Clyde try to rob the train and steal Cash & Jewels! Hold on to Mom and help cature the Bandits. Treat Mom to this 2 Hour Round Trip Excursion. 11 am. Adult: $25 • Child: $20
June 2: FarmWay Shopping Excursion
Take the Shopping Express from White River on customer appreciation day. Enjoy a ride with music & snacks along the River & thru the Upper Valley. Arrive at FarmWay for shopping, a cookout & a gift from FarmWay. Adult: $30 • Child: $20
Or take the train for a 45 minute round-trip from Farmway north ($12/person)
June 17 Father’s Day Express
Treat Dad to a very special Father’s Day excursion he’ll remember for a long time. He’ll like the live entertainment and may even enjoy the “Breakfast on the Field” served at Cedar Circle Farm. 11 am. Adult: $25 • Child: $20 • Breakfast: $15
Tramp & Hobo Train • Thursdays in July 24 and August 21
Tramp Thursdays/July 24 thru Aug. 21 Enjoy Lunch, Board the Train, meet “Boxcar
Bertha” and listen to her spin tales of the Great American Hobo & her life on the rails. Ride: $25 • Program: $35 • Lunch: $15
July 3 Burlington Fireworks
Ride into Burlington from Charlotte for Vermont’s Biggest Fireworks Show
Beat the traffic and take the Train from Charlotte, Shelburne or S. Burlington to Burlington’s waterfront to enjoy one of Vermont’s
largest fireworks shows. Train returns at 10:30 pm after the fireworks display. 5:30 - 6:45 & 8 pm
Tickets: $12/Person.
July 4 White River Junction Fireworks
Take the train from White River to Wilder for the fireworks. Contact Hartford Parks & Rec at 802-295-5036 for details about other scheduled events. Train returns to WhiteRiver following the fireworks. 6 pm - 7 pm & 8 pm. Tickets: $6/Person
Murder Mystery Train - July through October
Ride the White River Flyer & solve the railroad who-dunnit murders on a Murder Mystery Train! Meet at the Hotel Coolidge (a historic railroad hotel) at 10:00 am for a welcome reception. The mayhem ensues, clues emerge & the story begins. Walk to the train station & board the White River Flyer (or the Fright River Flyer). The Train heads through the upper valley & along the Conn. River & during this 2 hour trip, murders abound on & off the rails. Back to the Coolidge at 1:30 for lunch & the unveiling of the true murderer. Meet at the Coolidge for the 1 pm. 11:30 am & 2:30 pm. Murder Mystery Train: $50/Person
Tea Train on the Connecticut - Aug. 19 - Oct. 7
Mosey on down the tracks as we travel along the lazy Connecticut river from White River Junction to Thetford & back. Relax and treat yourself to a leisurely afternoon of entertainment and indulgence. Sample a variety of refreshing teas & scrumptious pastries provided by Debbie Blanchard of “High Tea For You” in the dining car. Souvenir pictures & tea samples to take home with you. All aboard for HIGH TEA! $35.00 per person
Cedar Circle Farm Pumpkin Fest - Oct. 6
Take a Colorful Fall Foliage Train to Cedar Circle Farm for Pumpkins galore! Departs White River Junction at 11 am & returns at 3:30 pm. Visit CedarCircleFarm.org for info on festival activities. 11:30 a.m.
